Cognizant has been appointed Vishal Salvi as the Global Head of Cyber Security Service-Line.

Vishal is a well-known global leader and he comes with extensive management and domain experience in driving transformation and cybersecurity programmes.
With over three decades of experience in the cybersecurity domain, Salvi brings a blend of technical expertise, business leadership, and risk management acumen.
His leadership roles include Quickheal as the CEO, at Infosys, PwC, HDFC Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Global Trust Bank, Development Credit Bank, and Crompton Greaves.
With over two decades of experience, he has led large-scale cybersecurity programs spanning policy, IAM, GRC, incident response, fraud management, cloud security, and business continuity. Recognized as a global cybersecurity leader, he is a frequent speaker at industry forums and serves on multiple advisory councils, contributing to frameworks and standards that strengthen cyber resilience.
Cognizant, which serves Fortune 500 clients globally, is under pressure to expand its security services portfolio as enterprises accelerate digital transformation, adopt cloud-native architectures, and face increasingly sophisticated attacks, including ransomware and nation-state threats.
