Rajendra Bhalerao appointed as (CISO) at Central Bank of India!

Rajendra Bhalerao has taken on the pivotal role of Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Central Bank of India.

Bhalerao is a seasoned leaders with over two decades of deep expertise in cybersecurity, risk management, and digital infrastructure, will lead the bank’s information security strategy and help strengthen its cyber resilience in today’s evolving threat landscape.

Before joining Central Bank of India, Rajendra held senior leadership roles at premier financial institutions and technology firms, including Scotiabank, SBM Bank, Paytm Payments Bank, and NPCI.

He has successfully implemented large-scale security programs including PCI-DSS, SOC operations, SIEM monitoring, vulnerability assessment, and ISO27001 compliance.

His career spans key roles at IndusInd Bank, WNS, Alcatel-Lucent, Mastek, EY, and Paladion, where he consistently delivered strategic security transformation initiatives. Rajendra’s appointment marks a significant step for Central Bank of India in reinforcing its cybersecurity governance and operational excellence.
