The partnership will see Tech Mahindra deploy a 24/7 Network and Security Operations Centre to safeguard NIA’s critical IT infrastructure, ensuring operational continuity, proactive threat detection, and robust cybersecurity across airport systems.
Tech Mahindra has secured a strategic project from Noida International Airport (NIA) to design, implement, and operate an integrated Network and Security Operations Centre (NOC-SOC) to support the airport’s critical IT and digital infrastructure. The NOC-SOC will provide continuous monitoring and management of networks, servers, storage, applications, databases, and associated digital platforms.
Christoph Schnellmann, CEO of NIA, highlighted the importance of the partnership in embedding resilience and operational excellence from the outset. “As a greenfield airport, we have the unique opportunity to integrate security and operational efficiency into our digital ecosystem from day one,” he said, adding that the initiative is crucial for building a future-ready network and cybersecurity framework supporting seamless airport operations.
Tech Mahindra will leverage its expertise in critical infrastructure operations, cybersecurity, and network management to establish a scalable technology framework for NIA.
“Through the integrated NOC-SOC, we will deliver round-the-clock monitoring, proactive threat detection, and rapid incident response across all critical IT systems,” said Sahil Dhawan, President and Head – India, Middle East & Africa Business, Tech Mahindra.
The NOC-SOC will serve as a core enabler for smooth airport operations, safeguarding against potential disruptions, and ensuring uninterrupted services once NIA becomes fully operational, positioning the airport as a benchmark in secure and resilient digital infrastructure.
The first phase spans around 1,300 hectares with one runway and a terminal building.
Once completed across four phases, it will cover nearly 5,000 hectares, making it India’s largest airport in terms of area. Airport operations are expected to begin soon. (PTI)
